大学英语课堂中的沉默现象往往被视作师生间的交流失败,在一定程度上反映了学生对课堂不感兴趣,甚至对抗的消极心理。文章首先探讨分析了课堂沉默的两种表现形式:积极沉默和消极沉默与教师提问策略之间的关系。并通过对学生的问卷调查和访谈结果的分析,总结出大学英语课堂上造成消极沉默现象的几种原因,进而阐述了这些因素与教师的提问策略有关。最后从教师课堂提问策略方面提出了一些改进措施。
